Why learning Tajweed
matters.

Tajweed means giving every letter its proper sound and length. It protects the meaning of the words and is the standard way the Quran has been passed down for centuries.

An open Mushaf with colour-coded Tajweed rules

وَرَتِّلِ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ تَرْتِيلًا

“And recite the Quran with measured recitation.” Surah Al-Muzzammil 73:4

Protect the meaning

A short vowel held too long, or a letter pronounced from the wrong place, can change a word. Tajweed keeps your recitation accurate.

Follow the Sunnah of recitation

The Prophet ﷺ recited with care and measure. Learning the rules connects your recitation to that unbroken chain.

Pray with confidence

Know that what you recite in salah is correct, and feel the difference in your focus and humility.

Teach your children

Parents who know the rules can guide the next generation properly from the very first lesson.
